Last updated: August 17, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Orthodox Calendar App website at orthocalendar.app and any related mobile applications (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Use of the Services
The Orthodox Calendar App provides liturgical calendar information, fasting guidance, scripture readings, prayers, and related educational content. You may use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Use the Services in any way that violates applicable law;
- Attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Services, including through hacking, scraping, or overloading our infrastructure;
- Reproduce, distribute, or resell our content or code without written permission;
- Use the Services to transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal material.
2. Accounts and waitlist
Some features may require you to provide an email address (for example, to join the app waitlist). You are responsible for providing accurate information and for keeping your contact details up to date. We reserve the right to remove waitlist entries that appear invalid or abusive.
3. Intellectual property
All content, design, code, trademarks, and other materials provided through the Services are owned by Orthodox Calendar App or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without our prior written consent, except for personal, non-commercial use.
4. App stores and third-party services
If the Orthodox Calendar App is made available through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or other app marketplaces, those marketplaces’ own terms and policies apply to downloads, payments, and device permissions. We are not responsible for the policies or actions of third-party platforms.
5. Disclaimers
The Services are provided for devotional and educational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, liturgical dates and fasting rules can vary by jurisdiction, local tradition, and pastoral guidance. Always consult your parish priest or bishop for personal spiritual direction.
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Orthodox Calendar App and its owners, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Orthodox Calendar App and its representatives from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Orthodox Calendar App operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
