Pascha (Orthodox Easter)
Great and Holy Pascha — The Resurrection of Our Lord — Sunday, April 12, 2026 in 2026.
Pascha celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and is the centre of the Orthodox liturgical year — every other moveable date on the calendar is counted forwards or backwards from it. It is served with the midnight Paschal Vigil and the Paschal Divine Liturgy, and the Paschal greeting "Christ is risen!" is used until the Ascension.
